Process Journal

3rd of March
On Wednesday we were told to choose a topic for our work. We had a few choices to choose from. Out of all of them I chose Ancient Rome. I chose it because I have seen many movies, and read many books, that made Ancient Rome an interesting topic. So after we chose our topic we had to think about 3 of the characteristics of civilization, and make up 7 or 6 questions for each characteristic. I choose: Religion, Art and Architecture, and Government.

On Thursday we had to research about our topic, and find information that could help answer the questions we made. I wasn’t done so I had to finish up my questions. I was thinking about questions, which could relate to the others I had, and get a discussion going on, so then it would be easier to understand the topic.

On Tuesday, I had finished my question for each characteristic. In the library they taught us a way to do our bibliography online, in a way that it is organized, and easy to make. While doing my questions, I was also thinking about, what books, or websites I could use to answer my questions.

On Wednesday, we went to the library to research about our ancient civilization, to then answer our questions. I used Wikipedia to research my topic, because it gives all the information needed to answer my questions, and research about it, in a single document, instead of looking around 10 books. Reading is still important, but Wikipedia gives me a more complex image of what I'm looking for.

On Thursday, i had finished my questions, and i was ready to find some information that would help answer my questions. I started by looking at a book that helped me with religion, that was the only characteristic of civilization i did that day.

On Sunday, i took different books, but this time i didn't use the book to answer my questions, and used it to get random information that related to my questions, in order to use it, and answer them.
